Bernie Shimono

Bernie Shimono was born in Kohala on Hawaiʻi Island, moved to Oʻahu to attend college, and has resided in Honolulu ever since. A love of numbers and a desire to be associated with an organization with a sense of purpose and service to the community, led to careers in accounting with educational non-profits. She joined HPR in 1992 as its Controller and has served as its VP of Finance since November 2008.
