The Parent Line, funded by the Department of Health and operated by Child & Family Service, hosts FREE virtual workshops open to the public throughout the year. This month, topics include building safe sleep habits, redirecting your toddler, helping children learn resilience, and developing empathy in children.

Readers of All Ages are invited to join the Hawaii State Public Library System's Summer Reading Challenge from June 1 – July 31, 2024! This summer’s theme is "E Heluhelu Kākou; Moʻolelo", and Hawaii’s public libraries will be celebrating the rich and varied stories that shape our communities.
If you join and log minutes, you will be entered into a drawing for a grand prize of four roundtrip tickets on Alaska Airlines to travel and build your own new stories!

Pacific Whale Foundation wishes you a happy World Ocean Day! Come join in on the fun at the Maʻalaea Harbor Shops for this public event on June 8 from 10am - 2 pm. The PWF Education Team will have fun, educational games, a face painter and live music! There will also be raffled prizes from local businesses, toys and PacWhale ecotour vouchers.
Additional Details: Parking is free for kamaʻāina in the Maui Ocean Center and Maʻalaea Harbor Shops parking lot. Make sure to follow kamaʻāina parking instructions on the signage located throughout the lot. Childcare resources available.Maui Nui Seabird Recovery Project, The Digital Bus, Keālia Pond National Wildlife Refuge, US Fish and Wildlife Service and Mauna Kahālāwai Watershed Partnership will be attending.

Pump up the jams! Come improvise with fellow creatives in a safe, supportive and always fun space.
Everyone who signs up will get at least 10 minutes of jam time, as well as the chance to laugh and learn while watching others during their block.
Come out to play or just come out to watch.
Note: Jam may last longer than an hour, depending on the number of participants.

The entrance is on South Street between Auahi and Pohukaina. Walk down small steps and follow the hallway to the left. Wheelchair-accessible entrance off of Pohukaina St.
