Electric Palms presents MitiS performing live at The Republik on June 8th ⚡🌴

MitiS, also known as Joseph Torre, takes his unique interpretation of piano derived melodic music to festival stages around the world. Born and raised in the suburbs of Philadelphia, the eclectic music producer has spent his entire life surrounded by music, beginning his training as a classical pianist at a young age. He is an artist in the purest sense, pouring his soul into every release by fusing his classical roots with his mastery in technical production.

MitiS has built a devoted and loyal fan base (known as the MitiS Mob) which helps spread his music to all parts of the globe. His album ‘Lost’ reached #1 on the iTunes Dance/Electronic chart and was ranked the #8 album of the week on Spotify across all genres (4/09/21). With more music in the works, MitiS is looking forward to continuing paving his path forward as a pioneer in melodic dance music.

Desperate and out-of-work, Michael makes a last-ditch effort at making his dreams come true by disguising himself as actress Dorothy Michaels. In a meteoric rise to Broadway stardom, Dorothy soon has audiences falling at her feet while Michael (disguised as Dorothy) is falling for his co-star, Julie. It isn’t long before Michael realizes that maintaining his greatest acting success is going to be much harder than he expected.

Tootsie is a musical comedy adaptation of Robert Horn’s novel of the same name. The show features music and lyrics by David Yazbek, with show stopping songs including “Unstoppable,” “What's Gonna Happen,” “I'm Alive,” and “The Most Important Night Of My Life.”

Summer Youth Opera Program. Open Enrollment for youth grades 5 - 12 boys and girls. A NEW opera about Mo`o (Dragons) on Maui with super powers. "Scales" Based on an original story by a native Hawaiian author, Acacia Awai and a local raised composer and HYOC alum, Tonia Ko, DMA. Intensive 2.5 week afternoon program. Monday to Friday June 12-28, 2024. Learn Hawaiian legends, culture, daily instruction in drama & stage craft, vocal coaching. Develop your child's performance skills. Please visit our website for more information and to enroll. Previous experience is not necessary but helpful. Summer's emphasis will be on the Ohana scenes. Performances for the public at the end of June. TBA. Collaboration between the Hawaii Youth Opera Chorus and the Hawaii Opera Theater Education Dept.
