Embrace Global Wellness Day with a forest bathing experience at Turtle Bay Resort. Check in at the Nalu Movement Studio and follow your guide through the trails adjacent to Kawela Bay. Engage with nature's surroundings in a movement meditation. Yoga mats will be made available but not necessary. It is recommended to bring a towel or sarong.

Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service for effective communication, or a modification of policies or procedures to participate in a program, service, or activity should contact library staff as soon as possible. Advance requests 48 hours or more before the event are encouraged, but not required. All programs are subject to change.

Using familiar dance steps like waltz or cha cha cha, Israeli dancers move in a circle (without partners) to Hebrew folk and pop melodies. Men and women, old and young, of whatever level of dance experience are encouraged to join. See website for exceptions to our schedule.

Wanna try some improv, but don’t feel like you’re ready? Well…you’re definitely ready for this class! Trust us! In this SUPER BEGINNER WORKSHOP you’ll learn the very basics of improv through fun group games. Good for shy folks and big hams. Try something new with super fun people!

Trying improv for the first time, or just getting back into the swing of things? This intro level set of classes is designed to give you the basic tools of improv comedy. Students will learn the value of “yes, and”-ing, listening, agreement, support, and more in a safe, non-judgmental environment. At the end of the 101 session, students will have the opportunity to perform a showcase for invited guests.

Summer Youth Opera Program. Open Enrollment for youth grades 5 - 12 boys and girls. A NEW opera about Mo`o (Dragons) on Maui with super powers. "Scales" Based on an original story by a native Hawaiian author, Acacia Awai and a local raised composer and HYOC alum, Tonia Ko, DMA. Intensive 2.5 week afternoon program. Monday to Friday June 12-28, 2024. Learn Hawaiian legends, culture, daily instruction in drama & stage craft, vocal coaching. Develop your child's performance skills. Please visit our website for more information and to enroll. Previous experience is not necessary but helpful. Summer's emphasis will be on the Ohana scenes. Performances for the public at the end of June. TBA. Collaboration between the Hawaii Youth Opera Chorus and the Hawaii Opera Theater Education Dept.
