Volunteers
Hawai'i Public Radio depends upon individual volunteers for assistance with a variety of activities and projects throughout the year. Volunteer tasks on O‘ahu range from Administrative Support: assemble mailings, make follow-up calls to members, file and/or answer phones; Special Events: represent HPR at community outreach events, lectures, and performances; On-Air Membership Campaigns (Spring & Fall): take pledges using an online script, laptop & headset, tally statistics or, cook and deliver lunch for staff. Corporate or Community groups are also encouraged to apply. Soon-to-be-added: training for Station Tour Docents.
Also in the works: periodic volunteer opportunities at community outreach and station events on Hawai‘i Island, Maui and Kaua‘i.
Upcoming Volunteer Opportunities:
Atherton Concert Performance Series - weekends June, early July
Volunteer opportunities will be matched to your area of interest, availability, and skill set. Click here to complete an initial Interest Survey. There is no minimum time commitment but knowledge of public radio is a plus! Shifts for administrative support are 2-3 hours on a weekly basis excluding Mondays.
We welcome and appreciate any hours you have to donate!
